Tunefold
Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Tunefold is an offline music player for Android from Anom, the app studio of Zest Plate LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Tunefold.
We don't collect your personal data
- Tunefold does not collect personal data.
- You don't need an account to use Tunefold.
- Tunefold includes no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not use the internet.
Your music stays on your phone
- Tunefold reads the list of audio files that Android keeps on your phone (titles, artists, albums, lengths, folders and cover art) to show your library and play your songs. This happens on your phone, and nothing is uploaded.
- Your playlists, favourites, listening history (recently played and play counts), the last queue and your settings are stored only in Tunefold's private storage on your phone.
- Tunefold does not include this data in cloud backups or phone-to-phone transfers.
Permissions
- Music and audio (on Android 13 and newer) or storage (on older versions): to find and play the audio files on your phone. Tunefold only reads them; it never changes or deletes your files.
- Foreground service and wake lock: to keep playing with the screen off and show playback controls in the notification and on the lock screen.
- Modify audio settings: to use your phone's built-in equalizer and bass boost on Tunefold's own playback.
Files from other apps
When you open an audio file from another app with Open with, Tunefold plays it from that app without keeping a copy.
Deleting your data
Settings > Clear listening history removes your play history. Delete a playlist from its menu. Uninstalling Tunefold deletes everything it stored. Your music files are never touched.
Children
Tunefold is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
